The first services of Jessamine Christian Church were held Sunday, November 6, 1994 at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary School on Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, KY. With the support of several area churches there was an attendance of 280 people in the Morning Worship Services that Sunday and eleven people placed their membership with the new congregation. The congregation continued to meet at Rosenwald until February 12, 1995.

We held the first Worship Service at Jessamine Christian on February 19, 1995 with 157 people present for the Morning Worship. Dedication Services were held Sunday, March 13, 1995 with Bro. Wayne Smith, minister of the Southland Christian Church in Jessamine County as the speaker. Since we purchased the building, platform area and choir loft, a nursery, three classrooms and two offices have been added to the present structure.

On October 18, 1998 the congregation voted to enter a building program to construct a new sanctuary and additional classroom space. Ground was broken for the new sanctuary on April 25, 1999 and the building was completed on November 28, 1999. Dedication Services for the new sanctuary and education facility were held on January 16, 2000 with Bro. Wayne Smith as the speaker.
