Rob was born in 1958 and is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 1982 graduate of Cincinnatti Christian University, having also attended Georgia State University and Atlanta Christian College. Rob served as ministry intern with Wayne Smith at Southland Christian Church in 1979 and fell in love with the central Kentucky area. In 1981 he helped start Southside Christian Church in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Rob served the church as their part-time minister for a year and then became their full-time minister upon his graduation from CCU. While Rob was at Southside the church grew from 30 to 300, purchased land and built two buildings. Rob completed his ministry at Southside in 1987 and accepted the call to the First Christian Church of Tarpon Springs, Florida. He served as minister at FCC until 2002 and while Rob was there the church grew from 300 to 2000, built an auditorium that seats 1100, a Family Life Center with a gym, started a Christian School and purchased 30 acres for eventual relocation. While working for Hospice of the Bluegrass in 2005, Rob accepted the invitation to be interim minister at Jessamine Christian Church. In October of 2005 the congregation asked Rob to become their full-time senior minister. Rob accepted the call to minister at JCC and has enjoyed serving this growing church since that time.
